Vulnerable Group of Twenty

Formed in 2015, the V20 Group of Finance Ministers is a dedicated cooperation initiative of economies systematically vulnerable to climate change. V20 group members are also states of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (V-20). The Group’s Chair is Ghana.

Member economies are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Colombia, Comoros, Costa Rica, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Eswatini, Fiji, The Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guinea, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Kiribati, Nicaragua, Lebanon, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Niger, Palau, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Samoa, Senegal, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Tunisia, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Viet Nam and Yemen.

Insurance Development Forum

The IDF is a public-private partnership led by the insurance industry and supported by international organisations.

It is on a mission to optimise and extend the use of insurance and its related risk management capabilities to build greater resilience and protection for people, communities, businesses, and public institutions that are vulnerable to disasters and their associated economic shocks.

Member organisations, drawn from across all sectors, are listed on the IDF website at www.insdevforum.org.

Hosted InsuResilience Solutions Fund

InsuResilience Solutions Fund

The InsuResilience Solutions Fund fosters the development of needs-based and financially sustainable climate risk insurance products in developing and emerging countries, increasing the resilience of poor and vulnerable households against extreme weather events and natural catastrophes.

As implementing programme of the InsuResilience Global Partnership the ISF is an important contribution of the German Government funded by KfW Development Bank to achieve the target of the international initiative on climate risk insurance, ‘InsuResilience’
